Statement by Speaker Bass on water progress

“Today Assembly Speaker Karen Bass (D-Los Angeles) issued the following statement regarding the Legislature’s work to address California’s water supply challenges:

“The Legislature’s work to solve California’s decades old water problems is continuing at a rapid pace and we continue to make important progress. Today, key pieces of our water policy solutions are being released. These solutions reflect a level of agreement and cooperation among diverse stakeholders and policymakers that has been unheard of in the state’s ongoing water wars. The progress we have made and the tenor of the talks still underway make me very hopeful a comprehensive solution will be achieved before the end of this legislative session.””
