By the way, in terms of unemployment, a 15% unemployment rate compared to a national average of 9.6% (in 2010) IS HUGE!!!!!!

Yuba City's unemployment rate of 19.3% MORE THAN DOUBLES the national average!!

Are fishes really more important than American jobs?

7 of the nation's 10 leading cities in unemployment are agricultural regions in California. (I have *'d the agricultural regions below)

Cities with the highest unemployment rates in 2010:

El Centro, Calif. -- 29.1
Yuma, Ariz. -- 24.8
*Yuba City, Calif. -- 19.3
*Merced, Calif. -- 18.6
*Stockton, Calif. -- 17.5
*Modesto, Calif. -- 17.2
*Fresno, Calif. -- 16.9
*Visalia-Porterville, Calif. -- 16.8
Palm Coast, Fla. -- 16.6
*Hanford-Corcoran, Calif. -- 16.4

Your accusation that farmers are using wasteful amounts of water is absolutely false, and contains no evidence.
Water is EXTREMELY expensive for farmers, so do you really think they would pay for more water to produce the same amount of crop?? There is absolutely no motive for farmers to use more than necessary amounts for water when its so expensive. In fact, it's one of the highest costs in agricultural production.
