Contra Costa Times readers give advice as to how California should fix the Delta

“Back to nature
Return the Delta to its natural state the way it was before Europeans came and began managing it. Stop all development, farming, dams, etc., within the Delta region, and dismantle what is there. Let the Delta do what it designed itself to do, handle the seasonal flooding and droughts naturally.
Restore all of California’s watersheds and let the ground store rainwater. Stop global warming so the snow pack remains high.
Limit human population so there will be plenty of groundwater for personal wells and small scale agriculture. Develop a loving relationship with clean, pure water like Felipe Calderon is trying to convince citizens of Mexico to do.
The Native Americans got it right, ask them for advice. A girl can dream, right?
