State bond’s potential effect on North Coast water questioned

“An $11.14 billion state bond proposal, if passed, could give Mendocino County a shot at its share of millions in funding for water projects, according to a release from the Governor’s Office.
The proposed bond is comprised of categories including drought relief, water supply reliability, Delta sustainability, statewide water system operational improvement, conservation and watershed protection, ground water protection, water quality, recycling and conservation, the Governor’s Office stated. It could have some potential benefits for the county.
“I am not sure what to make of it at this point,” said Roland Sanford, general manager of the Mendocino County Water Agency. “If it passes we will aggressively go after what we can,” he said.
Mendocino County has been designated as a county in the North Coast Hydrologic Region that includes Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity and parts of Glenn, Lake, Marin, Modoc, Siskiyou and Sonoma Counties, the Governor’s Office stated. … “
