Western Weather Blog takes a look at the next two storms

“The first storm is made up of two separate features, a moist band between 125 and 130 and the upper level system out around 140. The first band is already showing signs of weakening as it buts up against the dry, chilly air in place in California. This first band crosses California tomorrow and tomorrow evening and probably only produces spotty light rain and mountain snow anywhere from the Los Angeles Basin on north, but especially in central sections. The second piece, the upper level disturbance, moves through Central California later tomorrow night into Friday morning. This probably brings somewhat more rain and snow, though again light amounts will only occur.

It is the second storm that promises to be a lot more interesting and potentially moist. … “
