Canal lining named Public Works Project of Year

“The cooperative effort it took to complete a massive project is being recognized as a model for partnerships between state and local water agencies.

The American Public Works Association named the Imperial Irrigation District’s All American Canal Lining Project as one of the Public Works Projects of the Year. The project received a Project of the Year Award in the Environment category for projects costing more than $75 million.

The award will be presented mid-August during APWA’s 2010 International Congress and Exposition in Boston. … “
