State starts Delta ‘economics’ meetings

“The state’s Delta Protection Commission, which is supposed to “enhance and restore the overall quality” of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta environment, launches a series of five public meetings to get comments on a framework for what it calls an economic sustainability plan for the Delta.

The plan is supposed to include information and recommendations that will be used for future planning efforts, including the Delta Stewardship Council’s policies regarding the socioeconomic sustainability of the Delta region. … “
