High Desert gets representation with ACWA: Art Bishop chosen as director with Association of California Water Agencies

For the first time the High Desert has representation with the coalition of agencies responsible for 90 percent of the water delivered to communities, farms and businesses in California.

Art Bishop, a director with the Mojave Water Agency board since 2004 and deputy chief for the Apple Valley Fire Protection District, was chosen through a competitive process to fill a vacancy on the Association of California Water Agencies Region 9 Board of Directors.

“I think having that insight on that board will be very valuable,” said MWA General Manager Kirby Brill.
