The Western Weather Blog takes a look at El Nino

You may have heard news reports of the prediction that El Nino will be making a return later this Summer. We have been reporting on AccuWeather.com that its already here. There are conflicting opinions of what a summer return of El Nino means for the Southwest. The connection to the weather is somewhat more muddled than what an El Nino pattern brings over the winter months. However, it does tend to bring an increase to the tropical activity in the eastern Pacific, something I wrote about a month ago.
